Terms of use

Last updated 12 October 2026

The short version: Spy Pig is a free, just-for-you mirror, not advice. Use it for fun and for ideas, and check anything important with a real person before you act on it. We give it to you as it is. We aren't responsible for what you do with your results, and if something goes wrong you agree to talk to us first. Nothing here takes away rights the law says you always have.

1. Who we are, and agreeing to these terms

Spy Pig is made by SPENCER AI (ABN 31 978 335 623), a business based in Victoria, Australia ("we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and us about the Spy Pig app and this website (together, "Spy Pig"). By downloading, opening or using Spy Pig you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Spy Pig, and delete the app.

If you're under 18: please read these terms with a parent or guardian. They should agree to them for you, and they're responsible for how you use Spy Pig.

2. What Spy Pig is, and what it isn't

Spy Pig asks you questions and turns your answers into a report about your personality, interests, how you play and how you learn, with ideas for things to try. It is for entertainment, self-reflection and inspiration only.

If you're going through a hard time, please talk to someone you trust. In Australia you can call Kids Helpline on 1800 55 1800 or Lifeline on 13 11 14, any time. In New Zealand, call or text 1737. In the US, call or text 988. In the UK and Ireland, call Samaritans on 116 123. Anywhere else, Find A Helpline (findahelpline.com) lists free services near you. If you're in danger, call your local emergency number (000 in Australia, 111 in New Zealand, 911 in the US, 999 or 112 in the UK and Ireland).

3. Ideas, activities and other people's things

Your report suggests sports, clubs, courses, books, jobs and activities. These are general ideas, not recommendations of any particular provider, and we have no connection with any of them. Before you try something, check that it suits you, that it's safe, what it costs, who runs it and whether you need a parent's or doctor's OK. Physical activities carry a risk of injury; take part within your limits and with the right supervision and gear. We aren't responsible for anyone else's products, services, websites or content, even if Spy Pig mentions them.

4. The just-for-fun labels

Spy Pig mentions well-known TV shows, books and characters, and styles of results inspired by well-known personality ideas, just for fun. We aren't connected with, sponsored by or endorsed by the people who own them, and the names belong to their owners. The four-letter and nine-type results are Spy Pig's own estimates, not official results from any test.

5. Using Spy Pig properly

We give you a personal, free, non-transferable permission to use the Spy Pig app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store Usage Rules, for your own non-commercial use. Please don't:

Spy Pig's app, questions, reports and text belong to us. We have the right to use the pig, the artwork and the video in Spy Pig, and you may not copy them except to share your own report the way the app allows. The results and reflections you create are yours.

Fonts. Spy Pig uses the fonts Atkinson Hyperlegible, Bagel Fat One, Bricolage Grotesque and Courier Prime, each made available by its designers under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. A copy of that licence comes with the app (in its fonts folder) and is available from us on request.

6. Your information

Spy Pig keeps your answers, results and notes on your phone only. We don't collect them, so we can't back them up or get them back if your phone is lost, reset or the app is deleted. Keeping your phone and any reports you export safe is up to you. Our privacy policy explains this in full.

7. Changes and availability

Spy Pig is free, and as far as the law allows we provide it "as is" and "as available", without any promise that it will be accurate, complete, available, error-free, secure or suitable for your purpose. We may update, change, pause or stop Spy Pig or any part of it, or stop you using it, at any time and without notice, as far as the law allows.

8. Your rights under consumer law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded, restricted or changed by agreement. If you live outside Australia, you may also have rights under your local consumer law that these terms can't take away. Every part of these terms applies only as far as the law allows.

9. Limits on our responsibility

As far as the law allows:

None of this limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

10. If something goes wrong: talk to us first

  1. Tell us. Email welcome@myspencer.ai with what happened and what you'd like us to do.
  2. Try to fix it together. We'll both try in good faith to sort it out within 30 days of your email.
  3. Mediation. If it's still not sorted, either of us can ask for mediation with an independent mediator in Victoria (for example through the Resolution Institute), with each side paying its own costs and the mediator's fees shared equally.

We ask both sides to follow these steps before going to court. They don't stop you from contacting a consumer protection agency or ombudsman, making a complaint to a regulator, going to a small claims court or tribunal, or asking a court for urgent help at any time.

11. Apple and the App Store
